KSAT-TV, San Antonio, TX
June 30, 2014
Dr. Marvin Brown of the San Antonio Orthopaedic Group and his patient Bettye Dube were featured in a story on the INBONE™ Total Ankle Replacement. Dr. Brown describes the components of the implant and how artificial ankles have improved over the years. Bettye discussed the accident that she had on vacation that lead to her surgery and her positive outcome after undergoing the procedure.
PROPHECY™ INBONE™ is the first and only Pre-operative Navigation system available for Total Ankle Replacement. The system combines computer imaging and the patient’s own CT scan to develop a patient-specific pre-operative plan. “3D Printing” is utilized to produce instrument guides for each individual patient, to aid the surgeon in positioning of the INBONE™ implants.
The opinions of Dr. Brown and Bettye Dube are theirs alone and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Wright Medical. These results are specific to this individual only. Individual results and activity levels after surgery vary and depend on many factors including age, weight, and prior activity level.
